At Lansdown Insurance Brokers, we’re excited to support the Movement for Good Awards 2025, the Benefact Group’s flagship giving programme. Now in its 7th year, this initiative aims to empower charities with much-needed funding to make a meaningful difference in communities.

This year, over £1 million will be given away to charities across the UK, Republic of Ireland, Channel Islands, and Isle of Man in three main ways:

  • £1,000 Draws: Six rounds throughout the year, totaling £470,000
  • £5,000 Special Draws: Four themed rounds, totaling £200,000
  • Partnership Funding: Launching in May, totaling £400,000

£1,000 Draws

Nominations for the £1,000 draws are open from 1 January to 16 December 2025. Here’s how it works:

  1. Nominate your charity: Anyone can nominate a registered charity, not-for-profit organisation, or community interest company
  2. One nomination per charity: Every nomination increases your charity’s chances of winning
  3. Six opportunities to win: Once nominated, your charity is included in all remaining draws

Key Dates for £1,000 Draws:

  • First Draw: Winners announced 31 January 2025 (50 winners)
  • Second Draw (Boost): Winners announced 28 March 2025 (100 winners)
  • Third Draw: Winners announced 6 June 2025 (50 winners)
  • Fourth Draw (Boost): Winners announced 1 August 2025 (50 winners receiving £2,000)
  • Fifth Draw: Winners announced 26 September 2025 (50 winners)
  • 12 Days of Giving: Winners announced daily from 1–16 December 2025 (120 winners)

How to Nominate

Nominating your favourite charity takes less than a minute! Visit the Movement for Good website to submit your nomination. After nominating, you can share the link with your networks for more support.

£5,000 Special Draws

For charities tackling specific challenges, four themed £5,000 special draws will run for one week each.

Special Draw Categories and Dates:

  • Animals & Wildlife: 17–23 February 2025 (Winners announced 28 February 2025)
  • Health & Wellbeing: 28 April–4 May 2025 (Winners announced 9 May 2025)
  • Children & Young People: 16–22 June 2025 (Winners announced 27 June 2025)
  • Heritage & Arts: 13–19 October 2025 (Winners announced 24 October 2025)

Charities must be nominated separately for these special draws to be eligible.

Partnership Funding

Launching in May 2025, this initiative will support larger projects. Charities interested in applying can register now to stay updated.
