Lansdown Insurance Brokers are ultimately owned by a charity, The Benefact Trust who gives grants to churches, charities and community projects. They particularly like to fund organisations addressing real social need with clear vision, strong local support and a sustainable future.
Hope Support Services ticked all of these boxes, that’s why when we met them at a local event we encouraged them to apply for a grant through The Benefact Trust and we’re so pleased to see that they have been given £1,150 which will help their fantastic teams to continue to deliver help and support to those that need it.
So what do Hope Support Services do?
They’re a registered UK charity set up in 2009 that support young people when a close family member is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, such as cancer. They are a truly youth-led service who meet every month and carry out a range of fundraising activities.
The teams are made up of individuals who have all been through a family health crisis and they understand what others are going through.
